Well This is Nice



We forget that people outside of the blue states go to see movies too. You'll be pleased to know that Americans are marginally more sensitive to CNN's out-of-context racial epithets; still, on average, they appreciate your input, but their hate speech is fine just the way it is, ma'am:

I think part of the polls are based upon the fact that those of us "Blues" have to do difficult things, like weigh conflicting values. On the one hand, we don't like racism, but on the other, we tend to encourage free speech. I'm not sure how I feel about refusing to see a movie based solely on the fact I disagree with the unrelated views of a single actor or producer. If that were the case, I'd have to boycott every pro-marijuana, pro-PETA, pro-Scientology actor out there.

On the other hand, we can all happily avoid this ethical crisis by not seeing Mel Gibson movies because they suck.
